The holiday coast has a beautiful coastline where you will discover a stunning wilderness such as Ellenborough Falls at 200 metres, is the tallest single drop waterfall in New South Wales and amongst the tallest in the southern hemisphere and Barrington Tops National Parks’ remarkable scenery. In addition, the Manning Valley has some spectacular beaches and waterways in the Manning River. The farm is approximately 10 mins to Old Bar which sits at the heart of the spectacular beaches that run along the uncrowded coastal strip of the Holiday Coast. The Manning Valley also offers a number of local towns and cities only 40 - 60 minutes from our Farm. Forster, Tuncurry, Harrington and Port Macquarie also offer a wilderness landscape, family-friendly beaches, shopping and other amenities and services.
This peaceful destination is a great place for swimming, surfing and fishing and there are also spectacular coastal trails in the surrounding saltwater national park. Monthly Sunday markets also grace the area where you will find local produce, homewares, bric-a-brac and great food. Old Bar is also home to the Old Bar Beach Festival which is an annual community event that has been held every October Long Weekend since 2005. The festival has grown to attract more than 30,000 people each year. The festival hosts the Kombi/Transporter Australian record attempt seeing many Kombi enthusiasts and Kombi owners attend the festival to share their passion for their beloved buses. The festival has an array of foods form varying cultures, markets, amusements rides and activities.
Manning Point, also 10 minutes from the farm, is located at the Northern entrance to the Manning River. On the ocean side, there are long sandy beaches at manning point, while the river side is a sanctuary for the keen boatie, oyster lovers and fishermen. Manning Point's main street edges the river and the jetties offer a perfect spot to cast a line. Visit the licensed restaurant, bowling club or the café for a meal or great coffee. There is also four-wheel drive access to the beach through Manning Point Reserve.
The farm is also only 20 minutes to Taree, an historical town on the banks of the Manning River. It’s ideal place where you can enjoy boating, fishing, cruises and riverside walks. It also offers a wide range of amenities and services, including shopping malls, restaurants/cafes, medical services, schools and churches. An attraction that has been well received by the community is the annual Taree Easter Powerboat Classic. It hosts the 10th Anniversary running of the Liberty Cup and other major races.
